How the Deal Works
The agreement to acquire Nolimit City was announced by Evolution in June of this year, and the bare bones of the deal were disclosed at that time. Evolution agreed to pay €200 million on completion, and then up to €140 million more in future payments. The actual value of those future payments is dependent on Nolimit's performance over the next three years, from 2023 to 2025.
A news release put out by Nolimit City at the time of that initial announcement explained that this acquisition was "in line with Evolution's strategy of being the world's number one provider of online casino games." Jonas Tegman, who is a Co-Founder of NoLimit, was enthusiastic about the agreement, saying "we can't wait to take on the challenge of global expansion together with Evolution."
And now the waiting is over. The acquisition has been completed, and Nolimit City joins the likes of other innovative companies, such as NetEnt (which had previously made its own acquisition of Red Tiger) and Big Time Gaming, which have also seen fit to become part of Evolution's formidable operation.
