Relax Gaming's original Money Train slot, which was released in 2019, was set in the Old West and gave players the chance to win up to 20,000 times their bet. Money Train 2 rolled into town in 2020 with more of a steampunk feel and a top prize of 50,000 times the bet. Now the Money Train 3 slot has arrived, and it's as futuristic as you could ever have predicted.
Launch the game and a stylish animated sequence will show you one of its main characters loading her laser gun in readiness for the action to come. Lower value symbols in this game are jewelled rocks in the shape of the playing card suits of diamonds, clubs, hearts and spades. A gas mask symbol serves as a paying Wild, and a Bonus symbol serves as a scatter.
Higher value symbols are the four main characters of the game, known as the Collector, Sniper, Payer and Necromancer. Those names don't mean much in the main game, but when you get into the Money Cart Bonus Round they can make all the difference in the world.
Money Train 3 Slot Respin Feature
There are two special features in this game, and those are the Money Cart Bonus Round, as mentioned a moment ago, and the Respin Feature. We will discuss the Respin Feature first because, while it is always exciting to trigger and can be lucrative, it very much plays second fiddle to the Money Cart game.
This Respin Feature can be triggered at random after any spin that does not provide a win. When it is activated, one of the symbols already on the reels will be randomly selected and held in place. A respin will then occur, with all reels containing only those same symbols, multiplier values and blank spaces.
Land one or more matching symbols and those too will stick in place and another respin will be awarded. Land a multiplier symbol (which can be worth 1x, 2x or 3x) and a multiplier value to the right of the game grid (which starts at 1x) will increase accordingly. In this case, the multiplier value will not stick, but another respin will be awarded.
You will continue to get respins for as long as you land matching symbols or multiplier values. When a respin gives you neither one of those, the special feature will end and you'll win the value of the symbols on the grid, multiplied by whatever multiplier value you have generated.
Money Cart Bonus Round
There are two ways to trigger the pumped-up, action-fueled Money Cart Bonus Round. The first is by landing three or more bonus symbols on the grid at the same time. The other is by clicking the BUY button to the left of the game grid and paying to trigger the bonus feature on the next spin. The amount required to buy the feature will depend on the bonus round parameters that you choose, so it makes sense to familiarise yourself with this feature before buying it.
When the Money Cart Bonus Round is triggered, it will take place on a separate train cart. This will have five reels and four rows and you will be given 3 free spins. During this part of the game, the only symbols that can land will be multiplier values (from 1x to 10x) and character or power symbols. When any of these symbols appear, they will remain on the grid for the rest of the feature and your number of spins will be reset to 3.

In addition to all of the above, there are Persistent versions of the Collector, Sniper, Collector-Payer and Necromancer that can land. These will remain active spin after spin, hence their designation as persistent. A Persistent Shapeshifter can also land, and this will transform into a different special symbol after each spin.
