There are some online casino games that are so different from the ones that have gone before that they end up creating a genre all by themselves. Dream Catcher from Evolution is one such game. Released in 2017, this title was the one that first brought the vertical spinning "Money Wheel" format (which had been popular in land-based casinos for years) to online players. Several other vertical wheel games have followed since then, but Dream Catcher will always be the original and for many fans of the genre it is still one of the best around.

Presentation and Format
If you have played any Money Wheel game in recent years then you'll feel perfectly at home with Dream Catcher by Evolution, which essentially defined the format of such games when it first appeared. The game is played in a Live Casino studio and is officiated by a professional dealer in the style of a TV game show.
The action focuses on a vertical wheel that has 54 segments. 52 of those segments are coloured and show a simple number, while the other 2 are black and show a multiplier value. The numbers on a coloured segment represent your prize for placing a winning bet on that segment, and some colours are more numerous on the wheel than others. The fewer segments there are on the wheel, the bigger their payout will be, as you'll see from the breakdown below:
In addition to these 52 segments, there are two special segments:
We will discuss what those segments do in the next section of this review.
How to Play Dream Catcher
Dream Catcher was the first online Money Wheel game for Live Casino players, and so its rules are, by today's standards, extremely simple. At the foot of the screen, you'll see a player interface, where you need to bet on the segment colour that you think will be indicated as the winner on the next spin of the wheel. To place your bet, simply position your casino chip on the area representing your chosen segment colour.
After participating players have made their bets, the Dream Catcher wheel is spun. When the wheel stops spinning, the segment indicated by the arrow at the very top of the wheel will be declared the winner.
When one of the main coloured segments is declared the winner, all players who have bet on that colour will win their bet multiplied by the value of the colour itself.
EXAMPLE: If you make a winning bet of $10 on purple, you'll win the value of purple (5) multiplied by your stake = $50. Similarly, a winning $10 bet on the red segment (which is worth 40) would pay you $400.
Multiplier Segments
When one of the two multiplier segments is selected as the winner, all coloured segments on the wheel will be multiplied accordingly. For example, if the black and gold segment is indicated as the winner, all of the values on the wheel will be multiplied by x7. The wheel will then be spun again. If another multiplier segment wins, all values will be multiplied yet again, and so on. However, if a coloured segment lands, bets will be settled at the enhanced value. All values will then be reset for the next game.
This potential for multiplier values to appear spin after spin means that Dream Catcher is capable of paying out some massive wins of up to €500,000. The RTP (Return to Player) for the game depends on the segments you bet on. Red is the segment with the lowest RTP, at just 90.81%, while the best is the green segment, which has an RTP of 96.58%.
Dream Catcher: A Worthy Award-Winner
The Dream Catcher live casino game has won Evolution a slew of valuable awards, and deservedly so. This is a game that is both easy to understand and easy to play, but it still gives you the chance to win a lot more than is possible from the average slot. Take the Dream Catcher wheel for a spin today and good luck!
